HOSPITAL PROCEDURE UNDER ANESTHESIA
We have arranged for your surgery.

- The surgery will be done in the hospital
- You will need Pre-Operative Testing (EKG, Chest X-ray and blood work). Hospital will call you to arrange your pre-admission testing (PAT).
- Please do not take any blood thinning medications for 7 days prior to your scheduled surgery date. These medications include aspirin, Coumadin, Plavix, Lovenox, percentine, Vitamin E, Motrin, ibuprofen or Advil. Please contact our office if you are unsure about which medications to stop prior to surgery. Do not stop any medications, without contacting the prescribing doctor to get their okay.
- Please use clear liquid diet for 2 days before the surgery such as water, popsicles, apple sauce, apple juice, tea, gingerale, broth, jello, juices and coolaids.
- The day before your procedure take one bottle of magnesium citrate around 1:00 pm.
- The night before the procedure use Fleet Enema around 6:00 pm
- Please take a shower on the day of your procedure.
- Please do not drink or eat anything after midnight.
